Consultations
GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE CONSULTATION
A general internal medicine consultation is a comprehensive medical visit focused on adult health, prevention, and the management of acute and chronic medical conditions. This consultation may also sometimes stem from a patient needing a second opinion on a medical condition diagnosed by another medical practitioner.
During this visit, we take time to understand your health history, current concerns, medications, and goals. We focus on accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and long-term health planning. We may also coordinate with sub-specialists if needed.
In-house procedures may be used when clinically appropriate.
COMPREHENSIVE INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE CONSULTATION
An integrative medicine consultation is a longer, in-depth visit that looks at your health as a whole—not just isolated symptoms.
During this visit, we take time to understand your medical history, lifestyle, stress, sleep, nutrition, and personal goals. We combine evidence-based conventional medicine with selected integrative approaches to create a personalized care plan that supports your overall well-being.
Integrative care does not replace standard medical treatment. Instead, it works alongside it to help address root causes, reduce symptom burden, and support long-term health.
The consultation includes a comprehensive body composition assessment when clinically appropriate, with interpretation of the results and recommendations discussed with Dr. al Rashida.
Patients may seek an integrative medicine consultation if they have, but not limited to:
Chronic pain, fatigue, or inflammation
Chronic challenges with weight loss
Autoimmune or metabolic conditions
Digestive concerns
Headaches or migraines
Sleep disorders
Ongoing stress, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed
Stress-related physical symptoms
Desire for tools to improve resilience and nervous system regulation
Cardiovascular risk reduction
Metabolic health and insulin resistance
Longevity and healthy aging
Lifestyle-based risk reduction
Supplement safety and interactions
Persistent symptoms despite normal testing
